Make Working Out at Home Work for You
Many gyms are still closed, or maybe you just don’t feel safe going back. Working out at home can be just as much fun and just as motivational–if you do it right.
If you were a regular gym-goer prior to the pandemic, it’s important to find workouts that closely resemble your favorite gym exercises prior to the gym shut-downs. And if you didn’t work out regularly before, you get to try out new workouts to find what you love.
The best part is that Beachbody has a workout for everyone.
Workouts for Crossfitters
Those who love to lift heavy will love LIIFT4, a no-nonsense workout that incorporates both weight lifting and high intensity interval training. This is classic weight lifting, taught by Joel Freeman, and you’re only working out four days a week. Body Beast, 6 Weeks of the Work, The Master’s Hammer & Chisel and MBF/MBFA (Muscle Burns Fat/Muscle Burns Fat Advanced) are also great options for those who love lifting weights.
Workouts for Barre Fans
Beachbody has a relatively new program for people who love barre workouts. Barre Blend is taught by Elise Joan, who co-created the 3 Week Yoga Retreat, and is an 8-week program with workouts that are 30 to 40 minutes each day. Every workout is a full-body workout with limited equipment necessary (dumbbells and resistance loops). Elise steps it up a notch by adding some cardio too!
Workouts for Aerobics Fans
While 21 Day Fix isn’t a traditional aerobic workout, it does incorporate some elements of high intensity interval training along with using light weights. PiYo (which includes yoga and Pilates moves) and CIZE (a choreography-based workout) are also good options for those who like the feel of an in-person workout class.
Workouts for the Boxers
If your boxing gym is shut down, the 10 Rounds workout program will keep you in shape. Taught by Joel Freeman, the six-week program helps you maintain the principles of boxing by shadoboxing (with some dumbbells thrown in to build tone). Another option is Core de Force, a mixed martial arts-inspired program.
Of course, that’s not all the workouts Beachbody on Demand subscribers use and love. There are plenty of others at all different lengths and fitness levels. The key is to just keep moving!
