My Beachbody Story

For many people with a health and fitness story, there’s a single defining moment when they think, “Something needs to change.” For me, that was the day I looked at the photos from a family vacation when my now 13-year-old was just a baby.

Motherhood is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role, and with two young children and a baby, I was tired, irritable and borderline depressed. It wasn’t how I wanted motherhood to feel.

After deciding that it was time to take action, I remembered that a friend of mine had just lost 40 pounds. I knew that traditional “diets” weren’t going to work for me (I had been there, tried that), so I reached out to Monica to find out exactly what she had done.

Monica turned me on to Power 90 and my life was forever changed.

My Beachbody team at a recent summit. I love this crew!

I’ll be the first to say that I didn’t take to the workouts right away. I had never really been what I’d call “fit,” but I was active in my early 20s. After being inactive for so long, it was tough. I didn’t want to do the workouts and it was all I could do to hit “play” on the DVDs a few times a week. But Tony Horton’s virtual encouragement and the support from Monica helped keep me going. I started to see progress in my body composition, strength and weight and I started hitting “play” six times a week.

About that time, Carl Daikeler, the CEO of Beachbody, opened up the opportunity for customers to share their success stories and make some extra income by introducing the products to others. Since I already couldn’t stop talking about my almost 40-pound weight loss (and renewed energy), it was a no-brainer to me.

I joined Beachbody as a coach.

At first, being a coach just meant I kept on doing what I was doing–telling people about my results and how I got them. But then it became so much more. I didn’t realize what a significant impact in my life being a Beachbody coach would be.

Prior to having children, I worked in a very high-stress environment. I traveled a lot and was able to make a large contribution to the household Jeff and I were building. When we started our family, I left work behind so I could stay home with the kids.

Being a mom is my favorite role, but it always felt like there was a something missing. Not only that, but I also wanted to contribute financially to our growing family. I found that something with Beachbody.

As a Beachbody coach, I could determine my own success. I could work as much or as little as I wanted, and it honestly has never really felt like work to me. I can work around my life, instead of fitting life into my work schedule.

And the kicker? Not only have I been able to replace my 6-figure corporate salary, but I’ve also learned how to eat right and stay fit while teaching my children the importance of healthy living.

To me, it’s been a win-win-win for all areas of my life. It can be the same for you, too. Are you ready to get started and see what dreams you can make come true? Let me know!
