Committing to Hammer & Chisel

Hammer and Chisel, Beachbody’s newest program, came out on December 1 and a record number of programs were sold. Did you get yours yet?

Post-workout with Autumn at the Leadership Retreat

I’m really excited about this new program from Autumn Calabrese and Sagi Kalev. It’s a natural progression for me because I’ve done Autumn’s 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Extreme and I’m ready for a bit more. I tried a sample workout at the Leadership Retreat in October and really enjoyed it.

One of my goals is to lift more weights and build muscle. I took my first transformation photo 10 years ago, when I was 37. Now I’m in even better shape because I pay a lot more attention to my nutrition and I’ve been working out consistently all these years.

Of course, there are still things I want to do to make more progress. I would love more definition in my arms and get rid of some stubborn fat layers that are hanging out in my midsection. I want to take an “after” picture with my abs showing! Even though I’m 10 years older, it can happen!

Because Hammer and Chisel is presented by two very different trainers, it’s a unique program. It lasts 60 days and has its own meal plan, using the containers from 21 Day Fix. Workouts are 30 to 40 minutes per day and they focus on stabilization, strength and power. If you have a moderate baseline fitness level, it will work for you if you let it. That means committing to doing the workouts every day and sticking to the nutritional program.

For me, the timing on this program couldn’t be more perfect. I’m trying out some workout this month and will be posting about them on my Facebook page. Then, I’m going to co-hosting a challenge group for this program starting on January 4 (drop me a note if you want to join us). I can’t wait to share my results with all of you! Who else is giving this a shot?
